THE NEIGHBORHOOD Series
The Neighborhood is a YA, supernatural procedural about the adventures of a vampire, Entity, and their "garden variety human" neighbor as they take on the trials and tribulations of every day life...and the monsters it throws at them.

Dear Reader,
Oh boy. Where to start? Well. Hi, my name is Lexx, and I’ve always been a story teller. It’s really only been my one discernable skill. When I was 11 years old, I was watching hundreds of hours of CSI on SpikeTV (what a time to be alive), and it was amazing. However, my mom thought, “maybe this isn’t the best thing for my developing preteen daughter to be consuming at all hours of the day.” So, she took that privilege away from me. You know what my response was? "Fine, if I can’t watch it, then I’ll write it!” And, I wish I could tell you that I started writing CSI fanfiction, but no. I wrote a 314 page, spiral bound and printed at Kinko’s manuscript titled Secrets Behind the Secrets—and it was a forensic science-based police procedural that took place at the Chicago Crime Lab. I am 27 years old (as of 2022), and I have still never been to Chicago. It was objectively terrible. However, I poured my heart and soul into that “novel.”
But Lexx…what does that have to do with THIS book series? So glad you asked! Context.
When I was 14 years old, I started writing a book series called Things That Go Bump about a vivacious vampire, reclusive demonic entity, and a human with a secret going on fun YA, supernatural adventures together. When I was 16 years old, I completed the first 2 books in this series—the first 8 novellas of TWENTY-THREE. That’s what this is. The Neighborhood series is Things That Go Bump packaged for the now…only I haven’t done anything to it since 2012 (which is when the story takes place).
Please have fun with the cringe, the angst, and the DRAMA of it all.
This isn’t just an introduction, it’s also kind of an apology.

A bit more autobiographical than she would like, but this is based off of the “truly” huge story of Lexx Fusco’s formative teenage years, an NYU weight loss study, a brush with death, and so much more.
