Lexx Fusco - Creative, Generally - est. 1995
I'm living one of those "you couldn't write this sh*t" kind of lives. I'm a story teller. Always have been, and always will be. From a young age, words were always my thing. I started writing books, but eventually realized chapters were actually commercial breaks, and that my words could come to life in movies or television. But how?
I strive to be the "grilled cheese" of the entertainment industry: universally understood on a conceptual level, generally beloved, and a comfort to most.
I attended Drexel University and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Screenwriting (yes, a BS in story, a $60k joke that keeps on giving). Something that always freaked me out was, "how can I make a career out of writing?" During my internships at Heroes and Villains Entertainment, Lionsgate, Blumhouse, and Millennium Films I was introduced to the wonderful world of development across film and television. I had found my professional paradise. I WAS GOING TO BE A DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE AND A WRITER. I've had amazing opportunities to work at companies from the independent production company to the studio levels, and it's all been rad.
As a writer, I'm always working on something. I like to have as many pots on the stove at a time so I can work in as many different worlds as I can (what an awful metaphor, I'm not a writer or anything). I dabble in novels, features, and television--currently turning some film and tv projects into books. I've written in pretty much all genres, but I prefer to work in the "supernatural/genre" space because I like creating rules and worlds, and then populating those worlds with people who care about those rules (whether they care to follow or break those rules are their own problems). I think genre is a very accessible way for most audiences to feel like they have a way into the content.
During pandemic round 1 (the dark summer of 2020), I had an amazing opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented digital creators across platforms like TikTok and YouTube to create some fun and poppy content even though it was seemingly impossible. My favorite project was my 44-episode web series FLABULOUS starring Grace Reiter and other spectacular talent ranging from 10k to 6m followers.
In 2021, I sold my first feature project as a screenwriter to The Cartel/Lifetime, a murder mystery dark comedy inspired by the insane true story of Helen Mont; as well as starting to Executive Produce the actual play podcast CRIT OR MISS starring other awesome digital creators.
2022 was a little zanier. From July to September, I was part of the development (wrote two of the seventeen short films), preproduction (feature associate producer, segment producer on four of the short films), and ultimate PRODUCTION of a feature anthology (GIVE ME AN A) about the overturning of Roe v Wade spearheaded by Natasha Halevi and starring Alyssa Milano, Sean Gunn, Gina Torres, Virginia Madsen, Jennifer Holland to name a few. My rag tag manager team also set up several of my projects with companies and producers such as Tarquin Pack (Prodigal), Robert Cort, Dazey Phase, Anvil Pictures, Sterling & Stone, and more. I published a set of books I wrote when I was 16 years old, The Neighborhood, and plan to publish more! Just need to find out how to add about six hours to the week...
2023...the ZANIEST. This year was the year of strikes--the WGA and SAG strikes of 2023 really shook things up, but that didn't stop me from finding really exciting people to collaborate with, generate neat ideas, and continue to create whimsical nonsense.
Currently, I'm still writing and collaborating with the amazing people above, as well as taking my creative ventures beyond entertainment and into as many spaces that will have me. I've really come into my own as a mercenary in the development space helping all kind of creatives, brands, companies and more find and amplify their voices.
I really do run the gamut despite not believing in running in real life.
Anyway, welcome to a peek inside my head. Please no flash photography, and be sure to visit the gift shop (or The Heroes Locker Room Reborne) on your way out.

I find this particularly hilarious because A.) I basically did a Mad Libs for what I like to enjoy -- practically selecting every hobby that brings people general joy, and B.) I do in fact have a Bachelor of Science degree, so I'm TECHNICALLY a scientist? To be entirely honest, I confused chemistry with witchcraft. The appeal science had to me was pouring colorful liquids into each other to create some kind of smokey effect.

In my sophomore year at Drexel in 2015, I was part of the Drexel in LA program. During this time, I was an intern for Heroes and Villains Entertainment. At HVE I learned all about script coverage, and began my understanding about how painful and important coverage is. From there, I was super lucky to earn my second internship, and the one that would change the game for me, at Millennium Films under the Director of Development Beth Bruckner O'Brien. I was their intern for nine months. During the fall and the start of my Co-Op, I was an intern for Millennium, Lionsgate, and Blumhouse...all in the same five day work week. I don't recommend it for most humans, but oh boy did it get me into the hustle and bustle of it all. As soon as I returned to Philadelphia for the remainder of my junior year, and my senior year, I knew I had to get back to LA as soon as possible. So, I did what any psychopath in my position would do--I super condensed the rest of my curriculum into a maxed out credits super study in order to graduate in March 2017 instead of June 2017. Not only was I successful, but I completed my last written final exam on March 17th, got on a flight back to LA that afternoon, and started my first day at IM Global on March 20th. Major shout outs to my epic mentors Ian Abrams and Matthew Kaufhold.
